SENIOR PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER
Senior Spotlight: Damian | Desert Edge High School - Class of 2025
Senior sessions are always a favorite of mine, and this one was no exception. I had the chance to photograph Damian, a Class of 2025 graduate from Desert Edge High School, and let me just say—this shoot was as laid-back and enjoyable as it was memorable.
From the moment we met up, it was clear that Damian is the kind of person everyone naturally likes. Described often by others as respectful, cool, and funny, he brought all of that good energy to the session. And honestly, that made my job incredibly easy.
We shot in a few locations that really complemented his vibe—laid-back but driven, grounded but adventurous. He’s a multi-sport athlete (wrestling, football, and baseball—seriously impressive), and outside of school, he’s all about hitting the gym, hiking, or working on woodworking projects. A true hands-on kind of guy, which makes perfect sense considering his plans after graduation.
Rather than going the traditional college route, Damian is heading to UTI to pursue a career in aviation, enrolling in their Airframe and Powerplant Technician program. I love when seniors know exactly what they want, and he’s definitely one of those people who is both organized and accountable—qualities that are going to take him far in a field that values precision and reliability.
One of my favorite things about this session? The family support. Damian is the oldest of four kids, and you could feel how much he means to his family—especially to his mom. She was by his side the whole time, proud and glowing, quietly soaking in this milestone moment. You can tell that he sets the tone for his siblings and leads by example, not just with responsibility, but with kindness too. He truly makes his mom proud—and it shows in every interaction between them.
Sessions like this are a reminder of why I love what I do. It’s not just about great photos (though we definitely got those)—it’s about capturing this once-in-a-lifetime moment, right before everything shifts and new chapters begin.
Thanks again, Damian, for letting me be a part of your senior year story. And a big shoutout to your mom—what a beautiful team you two make.
